The Blurb:

All Giselle ever wanted was a family... who can accept her for what she is, a werewolf.
In a world where supernatural creatures are not out and proud, this has been a problem for 16 year old Giselle. A child of the system, she's been bounced from home to home for as long as she can remember. As soon as the moon calls out her inner wolf, it's back into the system she goes.
Against the odds, a new family is found for Giselle. One that may prove the answer to all her dreams and wishes. But this family comes with a deadly secret that could send Giselle six feet under instead of back into the system.
Amid factions of warring witches and werewolves, and deadly curses with no hope for a cure, the way will not be an easy one, but if Giselle can call upon her skills as a lone wolf, she may just be able to unearth the truth keeping her from the one thing she's ever wanted... family.

My Review:

I adored this book and the cover is absolutely gorgeous! Pretty Little Werewolf was amazing!

The main character Giselle was hilarious in my opinion. She was a very strong and powerful character that I loved. Asher was definitely my favourite character as he was just as funny as Giselle and he was sexy as hell. Damien was a good character too and he was adorable.

I loved the relationship of Giselle, Diana and Taylor and I loved watching as Giselle started opening up to her new family.

The plot of the book was very good. The book was extremely enjoyable and I read it all in one go as it is so good and you can't put it down! The book was written wonderfully and there was not one thing I didn't like about Pretty Little Werewolf other than the pairing at the end.

Overall, I loved this book so much and I recommend it to everyone! I gave it 5 out of 5 stars and I really hope there is a sequel!

'Darkness of Light' by Stacey Marie Brown Book Review

My Review:
When I first saw the cover of Darkness of Light I immediately knew I HAD to read it because the cover is absolutely gorgeous and the book is just as good!

When I got an email asking if I wanted to review this book I knew I had to as it sounded great and to get it for free is even better though I would have still bought it if I saw it in the shops as the cover and the blurb are so compelling.

The book was written spectacularly and not a single bit of it left me bored. The plot was so amazing and I loved every bit of the book. Yes, it may be similar to other books but it still was unique and a captivating read. Darkness of Light follows Ember, a girl who has always been an outsider and knew she was different but she never even grasped how different she truly is. She meets a smoking hot bad boy, Eli, who she immediately feels drawn to. I loved both these characters and I may have a new fictional crush...oh come on, it's Eli!

I give the Dakness in Light 5 out of 5 stars and I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series! I highly recommend this book to all mature readers as it is such a great book that I am glad I got the chance to read. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series!

Freak. Witch. Crazy. Schizo.

Ember Brycin has been called them all. She’s always known she’s different. No one has ever called her normal, even under the best circumstances. Bizarre and inexplicable things continually happen to her, and having two different colored eyes, strange hair, and an unusual tattoo only contributes to the gossip about her.

When the latest school explosion lands her in a facility for troubled teens, she meets Eli Dragen, who’s hot as hell and darkly mysterious. Their connection is full of passion, danger, and secrets. Secrets that will not only change her life, but what and who she is—leading her down a path she never imagined possible.

Between Light and Dark, Ember finds a world where truth and knowledge are power and no one can be trusted. But her survival depends on finding out the truth about herself. In her pursuit, she is forced between love and destiny and good and evil, even when the differences between them aren’t always clear. At worst, she will incite a war that could destroy both worlds. At best, she will not only lose her heart but her life and everyone she loves. Once the truth is out, however, there will be no going back. And she’ll definitely wish she could.

DARKNESS OF LIGHT is a Mature YA(16+)/New Adult Paranormal Romance.

“I'm having a difficult time coming up with words other than, "Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, oh my goodness!" right now. I feel like I'm sixteen again and just discovered the paranormal genre for the first time. Ugh.” ~ Christy at Captivated Reading

“”This plot is amazing, and it will slowly blow your mind! This is one of those books that you will not be able to let go, give up, or put down. I am completely obsessed and I will be reading every book until it's the end! I LOVED IT! You will too! 5 PAWS!!!!!” ~ Maghon at Happy Tailes and Tales.

“Amazing kick off to this series. Beautifully written, Darkness of Light draws you in right from the start, and Stacey doesn’t give you everything up front. She stretches it out, she makes you wonder, she makes you think, and she makes ou love these characters.” ~ Heather form Not Everyone’s Mama

Fire In The Darkness, Book #2 in the Darkness Series Paranormal Romance

It's been four weeks since Ember Brycin witnessed what her powers are capable of. The Electrical Current Storm has turned Seattle, Washington into a natural disaster zone. The death toll is in the thousands with countless others homeless and hungry.

And Ember is the one who caused it. Something she will have to live with every day.

Those people who were unable to escape either turned quickly into gangs or live in shelters. Ember, on the other hand, can’t do either. With a price on her head and a Dark Dweller on her ass, she is constantly on the move. Both Light and Dark are hunting her for their own purpose to use her as a weapon or a pawn in the war between the Unseelie King of the Dark and the Seelie Queen of the Light.

Em needs help but doesn’t know who to trust: Lars, the mystery man Torin told her to find? Torin, the Seelie Queen’s personal knight, who has sworn to keep Em safe? Or Eli, who wants to turn her over to the Unseelie King, but whom she has an undeniable, intense connection with?

No matter what she chooses she will probably lose—her life or everything and everyone she loves.

“This series just blows my mind. You guys all remember how much I LOVED Darkness of Light, and Fire in the Darkness delivered just as much as the first book. I could not put it down. It kept me guessing right up until the end, and I think I actually gasped out loud a few times while reading.” ~ Michelle at Book Briefs

“Fire in the Darkness was everything I hoped the story would be and more! The sexual tension between Eli and Ember is just as scorching as in the first book but their relationship is definitely changing as they face more challenges. Even though I would have been content to keep the entire focus on the two of them, the introduction of several other characters was a welcomed change and ultimately prevented the story from becoming dull. It’s not necessary but I still suggest reading the first book in the series for no other reason than to spend more time with Eli.” ~ Dark Faerie Tales

“I'm dying waiting for the next book! Dying!! DO you hear me!!! I so totes loved this. It's a fast pace, mind screwing, sucking you in and you don't want to find your way out type of book. You need to read it. Believe me you WILL NOT be let down. I am so obsessed I am pretty sure I need EOA ( Eli Obsessed Anonymous) or DSA (Darkness Series Anonymous).” ~ Book Boyfriend Reviews

Meant to be read after Fire In The Darkness

Beast In The Darkness (An Elighan Dragen Novelette)

We know the story from Ember's POV, but what happens to Eli after Ember disappears? Crawl inside Eli's mind and experience what he goes through. Be warned his mind in not a fuzzy warm place to be....

**Warning this contains sexual content and language.

**Contains Spoilers if you have not previously read Darkness Of Light or Fire In The Darkness.

“Thank you Stacey Marie Brown for this book... it was wonderful to see the story from Eli's point of view. I was racy and raw and very Eli!! I really enjoyed reading this book. This series has been wonderful. I am about half way through the fourth in the series. I love the story and quite honestly, I don't nt it to end. But it has been an awesome adventure!!” ~ lisakttn

“Getting to see the other side of the story was awesome! I LOVE Eli!!” ~ Kelli

“This series keeps you on the edge of your seat. I love the twists and turns to the storyline. Engaging, entertaining, and fun to read.” ~ Wendy Thrope

Some days feel like years, but in Ember Brycin’s case just the opposite is true. Em would be 22 now—if she were human. She’s not. She is a Dae—part Demon and part Fay—with a little Dark Dweller thrown in to make her more of a freak.

Life has become further complicated for Ember since returning from the Otherworld. Besides being continuously hunted by the Seelie Queen, Ember is at the top of the Unseelie King’s list, after breaking her oath with him. No one breaks a vow with the Unseelie King without extreme consequences.

Adding to Ember’s problems is a certain Dark Dweller whose mood has become violent and cruel. As much as she’d like to deny it, there is an undeniable connection between them. Eli is sexy, gorgeous, and frustrating as hell. She also knows he is holding something back, something that could change their relationship forever.

But her problems go way past him. As the tension for war mounts between the Seelie and Unseelie (Light and Dark), the tension at the Dark Dweller’s compound escalates even more as they prepare to obtain the Sword of Light—the only weapon able to kill the Queen.

But is Ember the answer to the location of the sword? Is she the one to fulfill the prophecy? As usual nothing is ever what it seems.

“This series continues to be one of my absolute favorites and I'm so glad to have discovered this story and especially this amazing author. The writing is fantastic and flows perfectly, I'm in love. I definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves a character driven, emotional story that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time!” ~ Brittany at Biblio Belles Book Blog

“Oh my goodness! After reading what Ember goes through this book…well…if it was any other favorite heroine, I would want to say I wanted to put her in my pocket to keep her safe. Nah, not Ember. She’s one tough chick and although she’s close to reaching the breaking point so many times, she’s strong enough to survive it. She has gone through so much, and although I want her to find some peace and happily ever after, I know she can handle the darkness that’s still to come.” ~ Lori Palle at Ebook Escapes

“If you haven't read this series you are missing out. This is a MUST READ for anyone who loves misbehaving, tattooed biker boys with strong hearts and backs, able and willing to carry the world for the ones they love. Anyone who enjoys strong, confident but shaking-on-the-inside women who know what needs to be done and do it the best way they can, trying to save and protect the ones they love with no thought about protecting themselves. And especially for those who know that family is not just blood but also those you are willing to shed tears for; that love has no fear when it comes to shielding and defending those who matter most.” ~ Heather Hand

After months of searching, Ember and her friends have finally located the Sword of Light, the only weapon capable of destroying Queen Aneira and ending her rule. This is Ember’s destiny. Or so she thought. Now a pact to save the man she loves changes everything.

In this final installment in the Darkness Series, when the truth comes to light, Ember will learn some things are better left in the dark as her world is ripped even further apart. It is no longer a rabbit hole, but a never-ending black void full of endless lies, betrayals, and secrets.

The fight for Earth has begun, and Ember will have to make the ultimate sacrifice to save millions of innocent lives and those she loves.

But this price may be too high—even for her.

“Best series I've read in a while!” ~ T Reader

“Stacey went all out to give us new and old fans an incredible read, and she hit it out of the park with this final chapter of the series. I didn’t want this series to end, but can tell you that I’m looking forward to her next adventure that she will take all of us on. It will be a wild and exceptional ride that I’m all saddled up for. This book will not disappoint you; however you may have an overwhelming response to cry to know that the chapter of Eli and Ember are have concluded. Exceptional Stacey, simply Exceptional!” ~ Sweetlove and Hotness Britches

“I jumped into this series full force and grew to love the characters more every step of the way. The passion between Eli and Ember really was something not from this earth. It was the kind of love people only dream to find. Throughout this series it was almost like I could reach out and touch the characters. I really felt like I was standing right beside Ember this whole time. Stacy kept me on the edge of my seat, and there were many moments where I'd find myself laughing out loud or whipping tears from my face.” ~ Diana

'Alienated' by Melissa Landers Book Review

The Blurb:
Two years ago, the aliens made contact. Now Cara Sweeney is going to be sharing a bathroom with one of them.

Hand picked to host the first-ever L'eihr exchange student, Cara thinks her future is set. Not only does she get a free ride to her dream college, she'll have inside information about the mysterious L'eihrs
that every journalist would kill for. Cara's blog is about to skyrocket.

Still, Cara isn't sure what to think when she meets Aelyx. Humans and L'eihrs have nearly identical DNA but cold, infuriatingly brilliant Aelyx couldn't seem more alien. She's certain about one thing though: no human boy is that good-looking.

But when Cara's classmates get swept up by anti-L'eihr paranoia, Midtown High School suddenly isn't safe anymore. Threatening notes appear in Cara's locker, and a police officer has to escort her and Aelyx to class.

Cara finds support in the last person she expected, ahe realises Aelyx isn't just her only friend; she's fallen hard for him. Aelyx has been hiding the truth about the purpose of his exchange, and it's potentially deadly consequences. Soon Cara will be in the fight of her life - not just for herself and the boy she loves, but for the future of her planet.

My Review:
This book was defiantly one of the best books I have ever read. I read it for Sasha's (abookutopia)
read along (I know this is VERY late) and at the beginning I was not very sure about it as it was an alien book and I have not read many of those, but I decided to give it a shot.

The characters were very good and realistic. The only problem I had was the pronouncing the names of the aliens as they were very difficult.

At the start Aelyx's personality was annoying and robotic but his personality at the end was amazing.

Like most books, I found some of the realistic parts annoying such as everyone hating Cara and how a certain someone dies (not going to say who so there's no spoilers) but in the real world people (and aliens) die and some people would despise aliens on Earth.

I loved the way Cara met Aelyx and I was laughing and jumping up and down because it was hilarious and I knew they would end up together. When they finally got together their romance was adorable.

There is actually a sequel coming out in 2015 that I will defiantly be pre-ordering as Alienated leaves you wanting more.

Overall I give this book 5 gold stars. I recommend it to any reader especially romance and sci-fi lovers.
