'Alienated' by Melissa Landers Book Review

The Blurb:
Two years ago, the aliens made contact. Now Cara Sweeney is going to be sharing a bathroom with one of them.

Hand picked to host the first-ever L'eihr exchange student, Cara thinks her future is set. Not only does she get a free ride to her dream college, she'll have inside information about the mysterious L'eihrs
that every journalist would kill for. Cara's blog is about to skyrocket.

Still, Cara isn't sure what to think when she meets Aelyx. Humans and L'eihrs have nearly identical DNA but cold, infuriatingly brilliant Aelyx couldn't seem more alien. She's certain about one thing though: no human boy is that good-looking.

But when Cara's classmates get swept up by anti-L'eihr paranoia, Midtown High School suddenly isn't safe anymore. Threatening notes appear in Cara's locker, and a police officer has to escort her and Aelyx to class.

Cara finds support in the last person she expected, ahe realises Aelyx isn't just her only friend; she's fallen hard for him. Aelyx has been hiding the truth about the purpose of his exchange, and it's potentially deadly consequences. Soon Cara will be in the fight of her life - not just for herself and the boy she loves, but for the future of her planet.

My Review:
This book was defiantly one of the best books I have ever read. I read it for Sasha's (abookutopia)
read along (I know this is VERY late) and at the beginning I was not very sure about it as it was an alien book and I have not read many of those, but I decided to give it a shot.

The characters were very good and realistic. The only problem I had was the pronouncing the names of the aliens as they were very difficult.

At the start Aelyx's personality was annoying and robotic but his personality at the end was amazing.

Like most books, I found some of the realistic parts annoying such as everyone hating Cara and how a certain someone dies (not going to say who so there's no spoilers) but in the real world people (and aliens) die and some people would despise aliens on Earth.

I loved the way Cara met Aelyx and I was laughing and jumping up and down because it was hilarious and I knew they would end up together. When they finally got together their romance was adorable.

There is actually a sequel coming out in 2015 that I will defiantly be pre-ordering as Alienated leaves you wanting more.

Overall I give this book 5 gold stars. I recommend it to any reader especially romance and sci-fi lovers.
